| dc.description | Background: The complication such as decrease strength and endurance of lower extremities, degenerate of peripheral neuropathy and retinopathy cause to fall risk in patients with type 2 diabetes mellites. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess balance in patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus compared to normal group. Method: Subjects voluntarily participated with type 2 diabetes mellitus (n=30) and normal group (n=30), aged 50-70 years. All subjects were received time up and go test to measure ability of balance. Results: The results showed that ability of balance in patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus was significantly lower than normal group (p=O.00). Conclusion: Patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus had rate of fall risk while normal group had not rate of full risk. | |
| dc.description.abstract | ที่มา: ภาวะแทรกซ้อน เช่น ความแข็งแรงและความทนทานของกล้ามเนื้อรยางค์ส่วนล่างที่ลดลง การเสื่อมของระบบประสาทส่วนปลาย และโรคจอประสาทตา ทำให้เกิดความเสี่ยงต่อการล้มในผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวานชนิดที่ 2 วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อประเมินและเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการทรงตัวของผู้ที่เป็นโรคเบาหวานชนิดที่ 2 เทียบกับกลุ่มคนปกติ วิธีการศึกษา: อาสาสมัครที่เป็นโรคเบาหวานชนิดที่ 2 จำนวน 30 คน และกลุ่มคนปกติ จำนวน 30 คน มีอายุระหว่าง 50-70 ปี อาสาสมัครทั้งหมดได้ทำการทดสอบความสามารถในการทรงตัวโดยใช้ Time up and Go test ผลการศึกษา: กลุ่มที่เป็นโรคเบาหวานชนิดที่ 2 มีความสามารถในการทรงตัวน้อยกว่ากลุ่มคนปกติอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p=0.00) สรุปผลการศึกษา: กลุ่มที่เป็นโรคเบาหวานชนิดที่ 2 มีอัตราเสี่ยงต่อการล้มในขณะที่คนปกติไม่มีความเสี่ยงต่อการล้ม | |
