ผลทันทีของการรักษาด้วยแผ่นประคบร้อนสมุนไพรไทยในผู้ป่วยออฟฟิศซินโดรม

| dc.description | A long history of study on the development of Thai herbal hot pack treatment heated by microwave oven has suggested that Thai herbal hot packs provide an equal degree of heat to standard hot packs. The objective of this study was to investigate the immediate effects of Thai herbal hot pack treatment on pain in the upper trapezius muscle, neck, and shoulders. A total of 48 office syndrome patients with pain in the upper trapezius muscle, neck and shoulders were selected and divided into two groups including an experimental group of 24 participants (with an average age of 22.18) who received a Thai herbal hot pack treatment for 30 minutes and a control group of 24 participants (with an average age of 21.75) who received a standard hot pack treatment subject for 30 minutes. Pain was assessed with a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Pressure Pain Threshold (PPT), and the data was statistically analyzed by Willcoxon matched-pair signed-rank test. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in pain severity and in PPT of pain in the upper trapezius muscle, neck and shoulders immediately after 30 minutes of treatment (p = 0.000). The findings indicate that Thai herbal hot pack treatment provided positive effect and can be regarded as a treatment for relieving the pain of patients with office syndrome who suffers from pain in the upper trapezius muscle, neck and shoulders. | |
| dc.description.abstract | ที่ผ่านมามีการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาแผ่นประคบร้อนสมุนไพรไทยด้วยคลื่นไมโครเวฟรายงานว่า แผ่นประคบร้อนสมุนไพรไทยให้ผลด้านความร้อนเทียบเท่ากับแผ่นประคบร้อนมาตรฐาน วัตถุประสงค์ของการศึกษานี้ เพื่อศึกษาผลทันทีของแผ่นประคบร้อนสมุนไพรไทยที่มีผลต่ออาการปวดกล้ามเนื้อทราพีเซียสส่วนบน และบริเวณคอ บ่า ไหล่ ในกลุ่มผู้ป่วยออฟฟิศซินโดรม ทำการศึกษาในอาสาสมัครทั้งหมด 48 ราย โดยแบ่งกลุ่มออกเป็นสองกลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มทดลองจะได้รับการรักษาด้วยแผ่นประคบร้อนสมุนไพรไทย จำนวน 24 คน (อายุเฉลี่ย 22.18) และกลุ่มควบคุมจะได้รับการรักษาด้วยแผ่นประคบร้อนมาตรฐาน จำนวน 24 คน (อายุเฉลี่ย 21.75) เป็นระยะเวลา 30 นาที อาสาสมัครจะได้รับการประเมินความเจ็บปวดด้วยมาตราวัดความเจ็บปวดด้วยสายตา (Visual Analogue scales, VAS) และระดับการรับรู้ความเจ็บปวดด้วยแรงกด (Pressure Pain Threshold, PPT) ข้อมูลความเจ็บปวดและระดับการรับรู้ความเจ็บปวดด้วยแรงกดจะถูกวิเคราะห์ด้วยสถิติ Wilcoxon matched pair signed rank test ผลการศึกษาพบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติของอาการปวด และการรับรู้ความเจ็บปวดด้วยแรงกดของกล้ามเนื้อทราพีเซียสส่วนบน และบริเวณ คอ บ่า ไหล่หลังจากการรักษาทันที (p = 0.000) การศึกษานี้สรุปได้ว่า ผลทันทีของแผ่นประคบร้อนสมุนไพรไทยสามารถลดอาการปวดได้ในผู้ป่วยกลุ่มโรคออฟฟิศซินโดรมที่มีอาการปวดกล้ามเนื้อทราพีเซียสส่วนบน และบริเวณ คอ บ่า ไหล่ | |
